About Me

I started Photo from Scratch to share what I am learning as I delve into the world of photography. Hopefully through writing, more of that information will stick in my brain, and maybe you can learn something too.

My background in photography started with a few college courses in which I used strictly 35mm film, darkroom and all. Unfortunately, in the last decade, I haven't touched more than a point-and-shoot or smartphone, let alone a digital SLR, so anything I learned back then is essentially gone.

For that reason, I started Photo from Scratch from an absolute beginner's perspective. This isn't necessarily a course and will likely wander with my interests, but I will try to hit everything that I think is important or noteworthy as I go. Let's see where it takes us!
